We've always loved France; the delicious food, neighbourly people and the breathtaking countryside. Our love for the country sparked our interest in wanting to make the permanent move to France in the near future. However, with redundancy talk looming at work, we decided the time was now or never. So, we took to the internet and began our search for the perfect home.

We knew we wanted to live around the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department,  so our search for properties began here. We stumbled across an old French estate agents website who were advertising our dream property in the area of Oloron-Sainte-Marie. We made contact to arrange a viewing almost immediately and John flew out to view the property for us. Sadly, our first offer was rejected but we were determined this property was the one, so with the help of our estate agent and a slight increase in our original offer, the house was ours.
